Full-time Horticulturist  

We are seeking a horticulturist to work with our team and share the responsibility to maintain the gardens and landscape at a high level. Position requires the ability to work in all types of weather and physically able to lift at least 60 lbs. We are willing to train the right candidate. This is a full-time year around position with benefits.

Grill Cook

Part-time position for grill cook in our Pavilion Restaurant. One year of experience cooking and food preparation is required. Must be able to work weekends.

Busperson/Dishwasher

Part-time position for a Busperson/Dishwasher available in our Pavilion Restaurant. The right candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. Must be able to work weekends.

Like a career in horticulture? There are classes offered in the Associate Degree Program in Horticulture through a partnership between Brookgreen Gardens and Horry Georgetown Technical College. The comprehensive curriculum places emphasis on the scientific principles and practical techniques of ornamental horticulture, and courses cover plant biology, soils, plant materials, landscape design and construction, arboriculture, horticultural production systems, integrated pest control, irrigation technologies, native plant ecology and many more. Various classes in the curriculum utilize the facilities of the Wall Lowcountry Center, the Lachicotte Horticulture Center, the natural areas of the Brookgreen property, and most importantly, the Gardens themselves.
