There are classes offered in the Associate Degree Program in Horticulture through a partnership between Brookgreen Gardens and Horry Georgetown Technical College.

The comprehensive curriculum places emphasis on the scientific principles and practical techniques of ornamental horticulture, and courses cover plant biology, soils, plant materials, landscape design and construction, arboriculture, horticultural production systems, integrated pest control, irrigation technologies, native plant ecology and many more. Various classes in the curriculum utilize the facilities of the Low Country Center, the Lachicotte Horticulture Center, the natural areas of the Brookgreen property, and most importantly, the Gardens themselves. Additionally, students have numerous opportunities for hands-on learning through the integration of their activities with those of the Brookgreen horticulture staff in their day-to-day operations.
